How a remote session works, step by step
A remote session works the same way as meeting in person: the same conversation, the same muscle testing, the same written summary afterwards. The only difference is practical. We either meet on Google Meet, or I work by proxy at an agreed time, with no need for you to be at a screen.
Step one: the free call
We start with a free 15-minute call. You describe briefly what is going on, and I tell you which method I would begin with and how long it takes. You do not need to prepare your history or a list of events. Saying what chafes right now and what you would like more of is enough. After the call we agree on a time, a way of working and payment. Prices are on the pricing page and all the ways to reach me are on the contact page.
A session on Google Meet
You get a link. You need a quiet place, headphones and roughly an hour without interruption. We begin with a short conversation about what brings you here and how your body feels today. Then I work with muscle testing and say out loud what comes up, while you confirm it or correct me when something does not fit. You do not need to narrate difficult events. A general theme is enough, sometimes a single word.
I leave a few minutes at the end so you can say how you feel now and so we can close the meeting calmly rather than mid-sentence. Anything left over gets noted and we pick it up next time.
A session by proxy
If you would rather not schedule a conversation, I work by proxy. With your explicit consent I do the muscle testing on myself, on your behalf, at the agreed time. This is the standard way of working remotely in the Emotion Code and the Body Code. Consent is a condition: I never work on anyone without their knowledge, and for children the parent decides and gives consent, which I describe on the for children page.
Before a proxy session I ask for a sentence or two about the theme, for example "tension in my chest since the move" or "always on alert, I cannot rest". That is enough to give the work direction.
What you do meanwhile
Nothing in particular. You can work, drive, be with your children or lie down. Some people keep the hour free on purpose, with a cup of tea and no phone, because they like noticing what happens in the body. Both versions are fine and neither changes how the session goes.
How to prepare
There is no list of instructions. Drink a glass of water, eat something beforehand if you are hungry, and leave yourself fifteen loose minutes after the agreed hour. If we are meeting on Meet, check your camera and microphone in advance so the start does not go on technical fixes. Do not stop any medication and do not change anything you agreed with your doctor.
What arrives afterwards
A written summary. It lists what was identified and released in the terms of the method used, the context it came up in, and a few short pointers for the days that follow. I send it by email or WhatsApp, usually the same day. If something comes up that is worth checking with a doctor or discussing with a psychotherapist, I say so directly.
The next 24 to 48 hours
Plan a gentler day afterwards. Drink more water and resist adding three extra errands to your evening. Many people describe relief and quiet, and some feel tired, sleepy or unexpectedly tearful. That is an ordinary response to something settling, and it usually passes within a day or two. If it lasts longer or worries you, write to me.
When meeting in person is better
Rarely. Remote work suits most themes and it is how I work day to day. If you live in Gdańsk and simply prefer meeting face to face, we arrange a session there. The session itself runs identically. A first meeting is sometimes easier in person, because another person in the room is calming in itself. That is the only reason I suggest Gdańsk over remote work.
Time zones and sessions in English
I work with people living outside Poland. We fit the time to your zone within my working hours, which are every day between 10:00 and 20:00 Polish time. I run sessions in English and in Polish, and your summary arrives in the language we spoke.
Common questions
Do I need to be online during a proxy session?
No. We agree on a time and you carry on with your day. Most people are at work or with their children. What I need beforehand is your consent to work on your behalf, not your presence at a screen.
How do I know the session actually happened?
You receive a written summary: what was identified and released in the terms of the method used, the context it came up in, and what to watch for over the next few days. I usually send it the same day by email or WhatsApp.
Can I record the session?
Yes, if we meet on Google Meet and you ask before we start. The recording stays with you and I keep no copy.
What if strong emotions come up during the session?
You say so and we stop. Nothing needs to be pushed through. We slow down, come back to your breath and to the ground under you, and return to the topic only when you decide to.
